Ashok Narayan

Education: Master of Science in Mathematics from University of Allahabad
in 1963.

Master of Science in Physics from University of Allahabad in 1965.

Diploma in Development Studies from University of Cambridge(UK) in 1978.

Doctor of Philosophy in Musicology from M.S.University, Baroda in 1998.

Profession: Joined Indian Administrative Service in 1966 and allotted to Gujarat
Cadre.

Worked as Sub-divisional Officer, District Development Officer, Collector and District Magistrate in Gujarat up to 1976.

Worked as Deputy Secretary, Director and Joint Secretary to the Government of India from 1976 to 1982 and from 1985 to 1990.

Worked as Secretary to Government of Gujarat in various departments from 1990 onwards.

Working as Managing Director Gujarat State Mineral Development Corporation a Government of Gujarat owned corporation.
